Water Shoes

Water shoes are footwear designed to be worn in the water during activities where the feet are likely to become wet.

They are usually made of a mesh like material with a hard sole, enabling the wearer the walk comfortably in the water. This is particularly beneficial if standing or walking in open water such as lakes, rivers or the sea, where the ground below the water is rough and potentially damaging to the feet. Also the ground below the surface may not be easily visible.

Water shoes can also be used during water aerobics classes as they can provide useful grip on the swimming pool floor. These types of aqua shoes can make movement easier during water exercises and the overall outcome of water aerobic classes could be more beneficial.

These types of pool shoes are sometimes called water aerobic shoes or swimming pool shoes and are found in all types of designs and colours, depending on their intended use.
